Advice on Trees
When planting either bare root or containerised trees DO NOT put fresh manure or fertiliser onto the roots or in the bottom of the hole. If manure is available mulching around the tree is beneficial.
In grassland it is essential that an area 1 metre across is kept clear of grass to enable the tree to breathe through its roots.
